Mary Ann and Elizabeth Blake - 1867.
Mary Ann Blake (left) was born in Thornbury on the 29th July, 1861. Her mother was Hannah Bendall born in Thornbury on the 27th April, 1828. Her father was George Blake born in North Wraxall, Wiltshire in 1823.
Mary Ann was married in Bristol to John Edwin Vaughan a coal miner. She had three small children and was pregnant with a fourth when John Vaughan was killed in a flood at the Ashton Vale Colliery, Bedminster, Bristol in 1892. She lived in Bristol until her death on 18th May, 1936.
