CHANTRY

The Chantry is a listed building in Castle Street and dates from the late 16th to early 17th centuries.  It is home of the Thornbury and District Community Association.  There is a walled garden complete with walkways, lawned area, well maintained borders, a small pond and a ‘wild’ area at the bottom.  The garden is managed by the caretakers and volunteer gardeners.  There are also some carved wooden seats at the end of the garden and picnic benches.  This garden is open each weekday.
