The Iles family have been Hairdresser`s spanning three generations.
Eric Herbert Iles came to Thornbury in 1931, leaving Caulton Road, Gloucester where his Father had a Salon. In 1971 Bert retired leaving the business to his son Mr. Anthony (Tony) Iles. Tony started as a Apprentice in 1956 aged 16.years, and still continues hairdressing. This now total`s 70.years (2001) of the Family Business. In 1938 Horace Walker (a family friend) worked a Ladies Salon at the same address until 1968. Horace was also a Sub-Fire Officer for Thornbury.
