ALL GLORY, LAUD AND HONOUR All glory, laud and honour to thee, Redeemer, King, to whom the lips of children made sweet hosannas ring. Thou art the King of Israel, thou David`s royal Son, who in the Lord`s name comest the King and blessed one. The company of angels are praising thee on high, and mortal men and all things created make reply: The people of the Hebrews with palms before thee went: our prayer and praise and anthems before thee we present: To thee before thy passion they sang their hymns of praise: to thee now high exalted our melody we raise: Thou didst accept their praises, accept the prayers we bring, who in all good delightest, thou good and gracious King: Thy sorrow and thy triumph grant us, O Christ, to share, that to the holy city together we may fare: For homage may we bring thee our victory o`er the foe, that in the Conqeror`s triumph this strain may ever flow. All glory, laud and honour to thee, Redeemer, King, to whom the lips of children made sweet hosannas ring.
STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the Cross! Lift high his royal banner, it must not suffer loss. From victory unto victory his army he shall lead, till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey; forth to the mighty conflict in this his glorious day. Ye that are men now serve him against unnumbered foes; let courage rise with danger and strength to strength oppose. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in his strength alone; the arm of flesh will fail you, you dare not trust your own. Put on the gospel armour, each piece put on with prayer; when duty calls or danger be never wanting there. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long: this day the noise of battle, the next the victor`s song. To him that overcometh a crown of life shall be; he with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.
WE HAVE A KING WHO RIDES A DONKEY We have a King who rides a donkey, we have a king who rides a donkey, we have a king who rides a donkey, and his name is Jesus. Jesus the king is risen, Jesus the king is risen, Jesus the king is risen, early in the morning. Trees are waving a royal welcome, (3) for the king called Jesus. Chorus We have a king who cares for people, (3) and his name is Jesus. Chorus A loaf and a cup upon the table, (3) bread-and-wine is Jesus. Chorus We have a king with a bowl and towel, (3) Servant-King is Jesus. Chorus What shall we do with our life this morning? (3) Give it up in service. Chorus
THE HEAD THAT ONCE WAS CROWNED WITH THORNS The head that once was crowned with thorns is crowned with glory now; a royal diadem adorns the mighty victor`s brow. The highest place that heaven affords is his, is his by right, the Kings of Kings and Lord of Lords, and heaven`s eternal light. The joy of all who dwell above, the joy of all below, to whom he manifests his love, and grants his name to know. To them the Cross, with all its shame, with all its grace, is given: their name an everlasting name, their joys the joys of heaven. They suffer with their Lord below, they reign with him above; their profit and their joy to know the mystery of his love. The Cross he bore is life and health, though shame and death to him; his people`s hope, his people`s wealth, their everlasting theme.
PRAISE TO THE HOLIEST IN THE HEIGHT Praise to the holiest in the height, and in the depth be praise; in all his words most wonderful, most sure in all his ways. O loving wisdom of our God! when all was sin and shame, a second Adam to the fight and to the rescue came. O wisest love! that flesh and blood which did in Adam fail, should strive afresh against the foe, should strive and should prevail; and that a higher gift than grace should flesh and blood refine, God`s presence and his very self, and essence all divine. O generous love! that he, who smote in Man for man the foe, the double agony in Man for man should undergo; and in the garden secretly and on the cross on high, should teach his brethren and inspire to suffer and to die. Praise to the holiest in the height, and in the depth be praise; in all his words most wonderful, most sure in all his ways.
